The Sixth Tool Training Baseball Pitch Recognition eBook Peter Fadde
Hitting is composed of four aspects: Mental, visual, reactional and mechanical. All too often, the mechanics of the swing is only covered when coaching hitters. Most look to the mechanical aspect of the swing when they want to improve. There are many resources out there that assist players and coaches in developing swing mechanics. Not much is talked about the visual aspect of hitting, let alone the different types of drills that can be used. This book provides that. How often as coaches do we see our hitters perform well in batting practice when they know what pitch is coming, only to freeze on a pitch right down the middle. The difference is pitch recognition and knowing what to look for.
Nice book.

The Sixth Tool Training Baseball Pitch Recognition eBook Peter Fadde Reviews
I have worked with Dr Fadde....this is an undervalued and needed tool for players at all ages.
It was okay.
A rather short "book" but full of hitting drills and concepts utilizing technology not normally seen in hitting books.
The "YOUTUBE videos gives a "hands on" description and view of most of the drills.
Having worked with Peter Fadde, I know firsthand that pitch recognition training can not only help your average player become good, but it can also help your good player become great! If you are looking to improve your game and prepare yourself to be successful at the highest level, you must add this tool to your kit.
Very interesting book. Shed some light on the subject but also raised other questions with me. This is a really good book for coaches or players to read.
Fast paced with a lot of good tips and drills. Great for high school level and beyond getting batters ready for the next level.
This is an excellent book. Dr. Fadde's work in the area of pitch recognition is outstanding. Every serious baseball hitter should study this book and work on the drills in it. The concepts are on a high level, but have tended to be learned in the past by those who were fortunate enough to have thought of them, or who were not conscious that they were learning. With this book, and associated drills and video tools, good hitters can incorporate these ideas into their approach and become even better.
